As a driver at Dean Foods, you will be home every night!  Our drivers safely deliver/unload various dairy productrs to an assigned route. Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms a part of Dean Foods in Lansdale, PA is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to work in our refrigerated warehouse. This is a non-Union, Second shift 6 pm - 2 am, full-time position reporting to the Cooler Manager. Hours will typically be Monday-Friday. However, Saturday and Sunday availability is required dependent upon when month end inventory falls or other special projects. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement. The Warehouse Coordinator provides extensive clerical and hands-on inventory/warehouse support for our Cooler/Warehouse. Duties will include: Credit approval and denials, Inventory planning and control, fulfillment and purchasing. May review order forms for proper coding, quantities requested and authorized approvals. Prepares purchase orders. Verifies accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Updates information via computer systems to maintain accurate records. When needed, the Shipping Coordinator may assist in overseeing the shift. 

  • Plans, coordinates and assigns route loading sequence.
  • Controls SERTI warehouse management system (Experience with an AS400 Platform such as WMS or SERTI preferred.)
  • Member of recall team.
  • Ensures proper storage, inventory, and security of all product stock.
  • Maintain appropriate records, files, documentation and resolve routine problems.
  • Timekeeping approvals/reviews via Kronos.
  • Attendance tracking/record-keeping
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Supports departmental goals and objectives.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (including no jewelry other than solid, plain wedding band or Medical Alert, as needed)
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
  • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas - ex. hard hats, hearing protection, steel toe/slip resistant footwear are required.
  • Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work with route accounting and handles all credit request forms from Customers and Routes for verification. (has to check on inventories and paperwork)
  • Releases and adjust invoices for all bill out all  inter-company (WTO's), Customers, Routes and outside vendor pick ups.
  • Handles month end inventory, does recounts on product, ensures all WTO's are closed before inventory is completed.
  • Reset employee passwords in SERTI.
  • Helps communicate with production on daily product needs to complete load-out process.
  • Leads warehouse team in the absence of Supervision.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Logistics all trailer needs and issues.
  • Check on back orders for any reloads that need to be completed. (print out and assign for reload)
  • Responsible for running report on products for proper rotation, and notifying sales when product is closed to going out of code.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Prior Warehouse experience preferred
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to sit for virtually the entire shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull for majority of the day, when needed, for inventory or checking product in the Cooler.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where the temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25/60 pounds and assist others when lifting is required. This is part of checking inventory/product in the Cooler.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment, Microsoft Office, including Excel and databases.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

The Ice Cream Filler Operator (2nd Shift) is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile. Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions, such as filling, marking, labeling, tying, packing, or wrapping containers. Operates freezer and ingredients distribution feeder.

* Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
* Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks. 
* Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
* Make adjustments to filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
* Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing. 
* Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced. 
* Will have working knowledge and experience with labeler operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime due to error. 
* Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
* Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
* Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed. 
* Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
* Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
* Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
* Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
* Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. 
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.  
* Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
* Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
* Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.

Dean Holding Company, LLC Harvard, Illinois maybe hiring Seasonal/Temporary General Laborers. This Plant is a demanding fast-paced fluid milk processing facility.

 

Candidates who will be considered for theses positions must be willing to work throughout the Fall and Winter Seasons and will be trained to perform a number of different jobs in our Production and Shipping/Warehouse (Cooler) Departments. Job assignments will include but are not limited to, operating a variety of fluid milk filling machines and packaging and processing equipment, picking orders, and loading trucks.

 

These positions will work a variety of different shifts and job assignments will often change every week.
