    Job Description & Requirements

    The Warehouse Driver performs any combination of material receiving and storing tasks, along with transporting materials to/from offsite warehouse to the production facility.

    • Assists with inventory counts as assigned.
    • May mark or put identifying labels on product loads.
    • May record movement of stock in/out of work areas.
    • Monitors materials, products and equipment’s and reports irregularities to supervisor.
    • Loading and unloading trucks and moves items as assigned.
    • License to operate a forklift.
    • Possess and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license B.   
    • Responsible for pulling products for production needs.
    • Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment (when certified).
    • May use hand-held tracking device
    • Mark the paperwork properly when making adjustments for product shortages.
    • Keep accurate records on load sheets, inventory sheets, scrap sheets, and computerized equipment.
    • Ensure proper code date rotation.
    • Report any product/packaging issues.
    • Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
    • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
    • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
    • Deliver ordered product to the plant in conjunction with production schedules.
    • Unload trucks and place product into inventory.
    • Return inventory from the plant and return to dry storage at the warehouse.
    • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. 
    • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
    • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
    • Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. 
    • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.   
    • 6 months experience related in manufacturing enviornment. 
    • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
    • Must have a minimum of 6 months of driving experience in Tractor-Trailer Truck or Bobtail.
    • Must have DOT certifiable and a good MVR.
    • Must currently have a Class B CDL (commercial driver’s license).
    • Must maintain a valid commercial driver's license and an air brake endorsement.
    • Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, and climbing into and out of tractor trailers virtually the entire shift.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions (year round) with moderate noise. May perform duties indoor and outdoor.
    • Overtime and working on holidays is often required.
    • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment. 
    • Must have a clean driving record.
    • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
